Dance Studio “VERA” by Svetlana Ioannou ("VERA", "we") runs a dance studio in Paphos, Cyprus, and this website with a personal account for parents, students and staff. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What we collect
Family and student details you give us when enrolling: names, dates of birth, the phone numbers and languages of parents and payers, health notes and photo consent.
Studio records: groups, attendance, payments, event replies, awards and skills.
Login data: your phone number, one-time login codes (stored only as a hash and valid for a few minutes), session cookies and basic technical logs.
Why we use it
To run classes, keep the schedule, record attendance and payments, and organise events (performance of our agreement with you).
To let you log in: we send a one-time code to your phone number via WhatsApp (Meta WhatsApp Business Platform).
To send studio announcements in your language. We do not use your data for advertising and we never sell it.
Who we share it with
Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. (WhatsApp) — only your phone number and the login code or message we send.
Our hosting provider Hetzner Online GmbH (servers in Germany, EU), where the database is stored.
Anthropic — announcement texts may be machine-translated; they do not contain children's personal data.
Nobody else, unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
While your child studies with us and up to 6 years afterwards for accounting and tax purposes. Login codes expire after 5 minutes and cannot be used again.
Your rights and data deletion
You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your data, or withdraw photo consent at any time. Write or call us at the contacts above and we will answer within 30 days.
To delete your account and the data related to WhatsApp login, send us a message from the phone number you use to log in: we will remove it and confirm.
You can also complain to the Cyprus Commissioner for Personal Data Protection (dataprotection.gov.cy).
Cookies
We use only necessary cookies: one to keep you logged in and one to remember the website language. No analytics or advertising cookies.
